Jojo was known for her positive and happy disposition, but on occasion she couldn't quite find her joy. A snooze was often the answer, so she closed her door and slept. When she awoke she remembered that keeping sadness a secret didn't help, so she called her friends and they helped her dance again. They also told her when she was being too demanding or if her breath was a little fishy.
The Ballad of Backwards and Forwards Collection
Both Polars are ceramic, embellished with dried flower components, costume jewellery and Indian textiles. All materials are recycled, collected and found, deconstructed and reassembled to tell a new story and have a refreshed purpose. I have also dressed them with decoupage, paint and foil leaf. They have painted claws.
All my pieces are individual and one-off - as I only work with recycled and reclaimed objects I never know what I am going to find. If you are looking for something particular, please ask - and I'll start looking!
